Ramon Rodriguez began his coffee journey in 1982, starting his first farm on land inherited from his father. Ramon moved to the Santa Barbara region and bought a property there in 1990 with his wife. He decided to plant the Pacas and Bourbon varieties, unaware that these choices would someday be highly sought after. For several years he produced his green for commercial coffee but switched to specialty coffee in 2010 after placing 12th in a Coffee of Excellence competition in Honduras. Since then, Ramon has fully embraced the specialty coffee market, proud of his journey and the impact it has had on his craft.
