Brazil Peaberry
$8.00 – $31.00
Description
Taste Notes: Full-bodied coffee with heavy notes of chocolate ganache with overall sweetness like brown sugar. This coffee also has very low acidity.
This coffee from Brazil is also special because of its unique size and the way it was picked. Generally, coffee cherries produce two coffee beans, but peaberry is a natural mutation when only one coffee bean forms within the cherry. They are usually very small and the beans are curled up and almost completely rounded, unlike other coffee beans that are flat on one side.
Brazil is the largest coffee producing country harvesting around one third of all coffee. Most of that is picked by automatic harvesters, but this coffee isĀ hand picked and sent to the washing station where it is depulped and then fermented for up to 15 hours. Then it is left out to sundry on patios.
Recommended Brew: Filter – This coffee is best in filter, pour over or batch brew. Also, try it for cold brew!
